Big shock last night when I got to the LHR clubhouse. The burger is not on the current menu! Grilled sea bass, duck leg, shepherd's pie etc. all there, but NO BURGER!

Are they mad??? This was one of the things I really looked forward to in the CH. Anyone know why it's gone?

Perhaps they just give you a card with directions to the nearest McDonalds or BK?

Does seem very odd taking a popular dish off the menu. A new chef maybe, thinks burgers are beneath them.

i knew the price of oil hit over 100 dollars a barrel, but i think i must have missed the one about a world shortage of burgers and that a surcharge would need to be added if requesting one........

come on......... some of us like simple good tasting burgers

Did they not even replace it with a nice steak sandwich?

My favourite is the shephards pie- its delicious - but so was the burger - what a silly thing to do - I would understand if they were removing it due to costs -- but a burger - it must be down to the chef - no other rational reason .

For those of us watching our cholesterol, are they still doing the sushi?

It is an old restaurant trick...take the most popular item off the menu to save money..then go out of business [V]

I think they need to realise that they're not a top restaurant, and CH visitors don't go there for haute-cuisine, just good quality food, and some peace and quiet (ok, and the occassional free drink [:D]).

I can't see what they possibly achieve by removing the burger from the menu, other than alienating a good number of people [:(]

Excuse me..this is VS we are talking about here....err yeah your right [y]

I was just watching an episode of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares [y][y][y]
where he tries to explain to the owners of a restaurant that the cooks they have cannot cook the food 'they' want to serve, the customers the have don't want to buy the food 'they' want to serve, of course all laced with the traditional British language we have all come to love from Gordon.

Anyways K.I.S.S should always apply when airlines try to do food, they are an airline, not a 5 star restaurant, good simple foods made with high quality product will always win the day....

Ya gotta love Gordon. Love the series and the US ones are better as he has a budget to help them, Mind you, would you eat in any of them after seeing it?

Lets face it, it's a BURGER. Not exactly difficult to make.

In the CH right now and the CH burger lives on!! [oo][^][oo][^]

It's back by popular demand - You need to ask for it as it won't be officially back on the menu until the next review...[:)]

Staff were swamped with requests for it as soon as it was axed according the staff at the bar - Good on VS for acting on the feedback straight away...[y][y][y]
