UC LHR-MIA next month, I really don't need the Limo to get me from MIA to the rental location.

Can I trade it for car rental like in Orlando. If so do I earn miles on the rental too, I am alone and need the car (convertable) for 6 days.

Well, you can but it's not going to be cheap with your requirements.

1) The cars offered as replacements to CDCs are standard (compact/midsize). If you want a convertible, you'd have to pay an upgrade fee (not sure $$ but I would imagine not cheap)
2) You get two days hire per unused limo - so only 4 on that side. Therefore, you'd have to pay the (£30/day x 2) fee for the extra days - and that's only for standard, not sure about the cost of an upgraded car.
3) I don't *think* you earn miles on it, as it's done via a Virgin voucher/coupon, which I'm pretty sure means they won't 'pay out' on it.

But yes, you can trade - I just have a feeling you might find it as cheap/expensive to book one from scratch. You really need to call Upper Class to get them to check though.

I know the VS website states that you can opt to have a complimentary hire car on arrival in the US, instead of a limo transfer.

'UK based passengers arriving at destinations in the USA:
Free car hire (2 days free per single flight)'

Does anyone know if that you have to have the hire car origniating at your arrival airport? I am flying into SFO, and then transferring to RNO on the same day. Can I use the complimentary hire car from RNO?

Thanks

Could a family of four booked into J or D get 16 days of car hire (4 passengers*2 limos each*2days each)?

I would imagine its per limo? So 8 days with 2 compacts?

As long as all booked in J each adult fare is entitled to the 2 days Compact car hire. It can be at a non-VAA airport, but has to be at a participating dollar location.
