M: Some routes only

Can some one point me in the right direction. if looking to upgrade with miles, which routes can you upgrade from M on? I can't seem to find the answer!

I had always presumed that this related to where the fare was purchased and originated at. i.e. an M fare is not valid for any return journeys departing from UK. i.e. I could not upgrade an M fare for a return flight to Jo'burg.

That is correct - as noted above - COUNTRY OF FARE ORIGIN states exactly that.
