The 2 miles for every quid spent deal.

So have booked up next summers holiday with VH. I was pretty annoyed to find out that after of weeks of dithering, I had missed the VS Flight Discount offer (lost out on 400) by 1 day, but o well these things happen.

My question is this, when do the 2 miles for every 1 spent get credited to your FC account. Will it be on payment of the final balance some eight or so weeks before departure? Or in the next couple of days (unlikely I feel)? Or after we have completed the holiday?

Just wondering as, if the miles come sooner rather than later, I feel we will be able to do an upgrade to J for next Christmas' trip.

In my limited experience of one VH earlier this year, we got the credit after the flight home - a few days after the flight credit.

The T&C's are very vague on when you will get these miles. I imagine it has to be when you have paid for your holiday fully. There is no way they will give you miles before you have paid them but as it is not directly linked to flying then it should be within a month or so of payment. I guess a call to VH should clarify, but I fear you might get the Indian call centre which could actually make things less clear.

If you do find out it would be interesting to know.

ISTBC but you will get the 2 for £1 on the deposit you've paid VH on your next statement but like Neil says you won't get the remainder until after the balance has been paid in full.

Just to clarify, this isn't the 2miles per £1 spent on the VS AmEx card. This is the additional FC members offer were you get 2miles for every £1 spent with VH. Just with you mentioning 'statement' it made it sounds like the CC offer.

Thanks Neil,I didn't think it was the miles from the Amex spend.I was referring to the online FC statement not the Amex statement.
