After waiting up until 8 this morning in hope that the holding page would be replaced by a sale, there has been a change to the UCS booking options.

Once you put in your destination and dates, if you select 'Upper Class (lowest)' you get the option to choose either with or without a CDC. If you select 'with' you'll be given the D fare. Go for the 'without, you still get the Z fare.

Oh, and still no sale [:(]

I've just seen that too Darren, it seems that VS are getting the idea that people want to be able to select specific fare codes, if they would just go the whole hog and make all fare codes available on the web it would be fantastic.

We did talk about this at the V:Jam and there was a suggestion that users might find themselves confused by this. We countered that perhaps describing the fare with the code in brackets would be a good compromise - sort of

Fully Flexible with CDC (J)
Some flexibility with CDC (D)
No flexibility no limo (Z)

Fully Flexible and upgradeable with miles (W)
Some Flexibilty and upgradeable with miles (S)
No Flexibility and not upgradeable with miles (K)

etc

That sounds a good idea Decker. I guess it is easier for us that know a bit about fare codes to forget to the average pax they mean very little and can be very confusing.

'"Update my flight' options and screens have changed too - just been into a few of my bookings and the options look different inc the staying in touch option."

That sounds as if VA are begining to take notice, I also like the new update my flight page, it seems much easier to navigate.

I noticed you can now book a flight from Dublin as well.
