Yeah, there are a couple of planes I think that tend to get in around that time, so processing times can vary. I normally get in on the 11pm flight, VS17, which always seems to be the last one into that terminal of the evening. It looks like they wake the immigration guys up just for us. They sort of amble slowly towards their desks, have a cup of coffee, set up their pens and staplers, yell at you for standing in the line before they'd turned their light on, (even though you had been directed to stand there by the woman whose job it is to point you to which line to stand in) and then welcome you wholeheartedly to the US.
However, even the best laid plans of getting off the plane quickly, running (but not too obviously) to immigration and then getting in the seemingly shortest line, can all come apart at the seams when it comes to waiting for your bags. I flew back over here after Christmas, was in the first 20 people through immigration, and then got to bag claim. And waited. And waited. In a cruel twist of fate, the moron baggage handlers (I would use a stronger word, but not wishing to offend, moron will suffice (I've had things stolen from my bags at EWR, and a friend had a PS3 stolen from his bag at EWR)) decided to throw all the bags with upper class tags out last. Like, completely last. The plane had been full too.
Anyway, I live just outside of Philly, if you need directions or anything, let me know. Oh, and don't forget cash for the turnpike and bridge.
