Item in checked luggage needed in cabin

Just checked in and realized I have left my laptop power supply in my suitcase. The on board power supplies have not worked for my laptop, even though it's a common IBM/Lenovo.

Asked if there is anyway of getting to the suitcase and the polite answer was no. It is just under 4 hours before departure so there is quite a bit of time, I am flying UC and Gold Card holder.

Anyone done the same before?

Buy a cheap iGo from an airport store?

Cruise around the clubhouse and see if anyone else has one?

Did not manage to get to by suitcase and as I have found before none of the adapters on board fit.
