Hi

After reading all the various comments I decided to try OLCI today for my flight to Orlando tomorrow from Manchester. So I logged in 23 hours before and the flight showed as open. I then put in all my details and it came up with the passenges list (me and my wife). So when the click to the next stage i keep getting this message:-

Unfortunately we are unable to check you into this flight at this time. Please go to the airport to check in at least two hours before your scheduled departure.
To save time at the airport, you can enter your Advance Passenger Information here.

Any idea why i get this? Is it because I booked through Virgin Holidays. The only other thing is my wife has a back problem so phoned up Special Assistance this week. They said they would put a request through for some extra leg room...

Thanks

Nick

Hi and welcome. Could be a number of reasons (possible aircarft change, your special assistance request). It won't be because you booked through VH.

Enjoy your trip!

Hi,

This happens to my husband and has for the last few years, something to do with homeland security in his case. Nothing to worry about, you may get an extra check on your passport.

pjh please don't jinx and a/c change!!!

but yes, it's probably because you are on the watch list, make sure when you get there that you tell the cuss agents this (ones standing by the green machines) because you'll end up wasting your time trying to check-in again, just a heads up!

Lizz, could you show a little more care when using terms like watch list please. In many circles that is considered a bad thing, I know what you mean in this case, but please try to remember that when using work 'code' you do need to be clear on the meaning and it's ramifications.

Just so I can be clear about this, being on the watch list means that you have a name or something close to the name of someone who is on the law enforcement watch list, what is normally required is a check of your passport just to check that you are not that person.

There are a couple of members on here that have this issue, it is normally a quick and painless thing.

I think I may know the reason if we have been flagged. My wife and I recently got married, with my wife reciveing a new passport in her married name a few weeks ago. I also recently lost my passport, so have had a new passport issued. I suspect the automated system will see a party of two having new passports....

On a completely seperate question, when we spoke to special assistance guys they said to get to the airport early to make sure we get bulk head seats. As we're flying ecconomy, I think we have to use the checkin machines. Do you select the seas here? Or do you ask when you get to the bag drop off?

Thanks for everyone help!

sorry scrooge your quite right, I forgot this even when talking to some friends.

seats are pre-assigned, you should already have some bulkhead seats assigned (I'm not garunteeing that by any means but I don't think you should have a problem)

You answered your question in the first post and the replies ignored this. You have requested special assistance already, therefore your reservation has been flagged up for assistance.

Get to the airport early, remind them at check-in that your have SA, then get the best seats you can. Take a print out of the seat map from this site to help you.
