Hi i am at present stuck on a ship in tokyo awaiting a typhoon to strike, it means i will not be home to take my holiday to dubai on sat 10th flying upper class on a Z ticket, can anyone tell me roughly what my options are on this fare. Can i change it easy enough with minimum expense or is there a refund option, or would i need to claim back on travel insurance and do you think i would be covered.
thanks guys

I think the first thing you need to do is contact Virgin Atlantic Flying Club to explain the situation and see what they can do. If it is a reasonable request they may be happy to help reschedule.

And of course the other action is to contact your travel insurer.

Oh you poor thing. I would go with fozzyo's advice and contact VS but the Premier Team since you are flying in Upper.

If they are unable to help I would contact your insurer and perhaps you should be doing so in any case to find out what their policy is on weather related delays. Would they consider a typhoon as an 'Act of God' and if so will they pay out?

Best of luck and fingers crossed
