G-VAIR runway departure report out

Unable to find the original thread - I had thought it was mentioned here.

The AAIB report is now out.

Its always a pleasure to read these reports for their clarity and thoroughness (I don't actually read them cover to cover - just selective sections).

My interpretation is that the Captain of G-VAIR handled the situation he found himself in very well. In fact taken together with other AAIB reports I have read, I am left with an excellent impression of the high standard of performance of VA's pilots. Very reassuring!

Having just done a very quick scan, it pretty much cleared the VS crew, which of course is good, I do wonder though why VS MX did not know about the update to the CVR ????

Also of course the airport operator ignoring the set safety standards doesn't really help.

Just looked out of the window of the Mauritius lounge to see this plane waiting for me

Yet again V-Flyer shows it wealth of knowledge and help...just don't tell the other half about it [:p]
