As always I regularly pop on to the Virgin website to check my flight details.. just to make sure nothing changed [ii]

What I have noticed about my latest booking that I am not getting any offers to upgrade. The flight is a fair few months away and I'm sure Virgin would be wanting to tempt me to go up a level on one or both sectors.

On most of my other non-upper flights (not that upper is the norm, by any means [:D] ) I'm sure I was always offered something. I would have expected it this time especially as the flights are still wide open.

Does anyone know of the criteria by which the offers appear against flights? I can't think it's a web site error.

Maybe there aren't any UC seats available, or more specifically lower fare UC seats that VS are willing to sell at a low-ish price level?

It's not a Miles + Money fare is it? For those you need to call the FC to upgrade.

I've found that on regular fares sometimes it offers me a one way upgrade for one sector, but not for the other however you can purchase a return upgrade? Strange!

I suspect that the plethora of sales in recent weeks has put paid (for the moment) of getting that cheap upgrade[n]

On my last flight the Crew were saying that they have never seen the UC cabins so full!

Come Wednesday, it could all be different[:w]

Maybe. One of the legs is in Y, and there is no PE offer. I appreciate it is the holiday route in August.

I did think the site would show non sale upgrades as a gentle reminder each time you check.

Don't they know I sometimes check after coming back from the pub [:D]

Did you book online direct with Virgin Atlantic or through any kind of third party?
Only VS direct bookings can have upgrades offered.

For my Jan flight, up to about a week ago, I could upgrade each leg to PE for xxx. Now that's gone and I can only upgrade the whole flight to PE or UC.
