Hi Everyone,

After lurking for a while I decided to join up because I think you've got a great community with lots of really useful information from all of your VS experiences.

So, my first forum question is about seating in U/C. I'm flying on a night flight on a A343 and the only seats left seem really close to the Bar. Should I be worried about the noise from any boozy night owls or does it tend to be pretty quiet overnight. It's the VS300 LHR-DEL if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Firstly welcome to V-Flyer !

I would say it depends on the flight - sometimes the bar is very busy and sometime not. Also depends if there is a party of colleagues etc on the flight - in that case it may well be. In my experience if it is busy etc, and I am seated near enough to hear then I go an join in !

Also more seats might open up at OLCI so you may be able to choose one further away.

Enjoy,

HG

Welcome to V-Flyer[y][y]

i would echo what HG says in regards to being close to the Bar.

My personal preference is to get a UC seat facing the 'wall' i.e. K seats on the 300, as this offers a degree of privacy

Hi EmBee and welcome - LHR-DEL flights are normally very quiet at the bar, for two reasons, one it's pretty much midnight by the time the seatbelt sign is off and people are settled and two, Indians don't drink like Brits (hic). So unless you are very unlucky, you'll have a peaceful flight ... that is unless you become in time a true V-Flyer and hit the bar for a good session (oops, strike that!).

Alternatively, HG has sage advice [y].

Thanks for your advice...... I've never worried about the bar when sitting upstairs on a 744 but it was my wife who asked the question when I showed her the seat map last night with the seats I'd chosen........ Buns, I managed to get K seats on the way home so they sound like a good call, phew!

And as you say, if they're making too much noise on the outbound, I'll be forced to get up and join them.... hic[^]
