Hi all

There are two of us flying on the same booking and the confirmation/receipt says that X amount of miles and X Tier points will be earned/are available PER Passenger. So to be clear, even though only I have a FC account, points are earned for both passengers?

Points and tier points are allotted to the person sitting in the seat.

So, if two of you are travelling, you both need a Flying Club account. It doesn't matter how many seats you have booked, you will only get points for the one you sit on.

If your companion isn't a Flying Club member - have a look at 'miles more friends' on the VS website - that way you will both benefit.

No, you can only earn miles and TPs for your own flight and not for anyone else even if they are on the same booking or their relationship to you (I think the only exception is for very young children).

Your companion should open an FC account (unless they have one already). There used to be an offer of some bonus miles if you recruited a new FC member - there should be a link on the main VS website in the FC section but you may have to log into your own account first.

Family Children (under 12) but only for Au holders - miles only (not points) are credited to Au holder.
