SYD - LHR schedule

Does anyone know if VS fly from SYD - LHR on a Friday? In particular, the 24th December next year?

I've been looking for upgrade seats all week, and every morning there has been one available, but all of a sudden, none for the 24th

The SYD flights are operated on a daily basis, so yes there will be one on the 24th December (providing VS don't change anything between now and then).

The reason for lack of reward seat, might be because it is a popular time to fly, but also there is no real set schedule or pattern to how they are released, one might become available tomorrow or in 2 weeks or in 6 months, or never.

Worth looking individually, i.e. SYD-HKG + HKG-LHR sometimes throws up options..as we found out last year

I presume that to do that you just book a Y fare, and use miles for just one part of the jurney say SYD - HKG and then just have your normal seat for the rest?

Virgin Atlantic will cancel following services over Christmas 2010.

VS (and many other airlines) always reduce their capacity around Christmas day.
