VA car hire discount

Hi all -

Booked a trip to LAX (taking in San Diego and Las Vegas) on UC with miles - counting the days. Anyway (!), booking Avis car hire online (as they always include domestic partner as second driver as standard), and got discount with the AWD code on the back of my Silver card. Then tried my partners Gold card, with different AWD code, and he gets a slightly higher level of discount. Clever, eh? So, a few hidden extra benefits to Gold membership after all! Just thought I'd say........

No real secret, extra benefits for Au card holders. To be honest though there are usually better codes out there on the net then the VS ones.

That's what thought - but couldn't find any. The extra Gold discount was a nice surprise.
