Does anyone have any experience of the new infant seat that is now available for infants upto 44lbs (100cm).
We have booked one for our son when we travel later this year but looking at the VA site it looks like the seat faces backwards in EC, which would mean that his leg space would be minimal and he would not be able to view the TV screen.
Has anyone seen one, used one ?

Thanks

The one's we have used for our 3 year old (two trips in the last year) have been forward facing and very good indeed. He was very comfortable and had no problems at all.

Have fitted many of these seats! [:p]

OK first things first, how old will your son be when travelling? The seat has to be placed facing backward for take off and landing if he is under 12 months. If he is, the seat can be repositioned during the flight to face forward.

If he is over 12 months then the seat will face forward the entire time including take off and landing.

He will be 2 next week so thats good news.
And that explains the photo on the website :)

I know that these seats are not guaranteed, should we check in nice and early to guarantee one ? Any other tips.

Thanks

We have already 'booked' one, its just that I was told it was not guaranteed and just wondered how they were allocated, our flight to MCO is bound to have a few toddlers :-)
