Last year I regretted booking our holiday in Grenada early as the prices plummeted a few months later.

I booked a little later this year but, not surprisingly, I now keep an eye on the VH website to see how the prices change. Suffice to say that HWV is a happy bunny this morning.

The VH site quotes the following per passenger to upgrade from economy on our flights;

Outbound, a very reasonable

PE 334, UC 829

Inbound, on the other hand

PE 997, UC 1531.

What a lot of money. I suppose that the inbounds are to do with sleeping! (although I tend to a much more expensive passenger when awake!)

Now where is the smug smilie?

And now the outbound UC upgrade has risen to1218.

Inflation is obviously rife!![:w]

And today:

The outbound UC upgrade has dropped back to £829.

The inbound PE upgrade has dropped to £384 (from £997)

All this in 4 days, bizzare. (and, putting it politely, wouldn't you be fed up if you had booked on the 10th!!)

And today, simply the most bizarre pricing of all:

It is now cheaper to upgrade from Economy to UC (£729) than it is to upgrade from Economy to PE (£997) on the return leg.

I wonder whether it is worth upgrading (or apparently downgrading!)from PE to UC and asking for some money back!!!!! ):

If you're happy with the price tag, HDubya, I'd go for it.
