Hopefully somebody can help with this.

The end of June (27,28,29) is showing no availability for SIN-LHR, however SIA is showing availability on all three of their daily flights.

VS call centre does not know why they cannot book the seats and turned me away. Does anybody know if this is a computer glitch or VS not having access to all seats on SIA operated flights?

Many thanks in advance.

A warm welcome to V-Flyer.

The almost impossible science of booking SQ reward seats with VS miles has been discussed a few times.

This thread.

and this one, give some good pointers, but I gave up last year and booked VS to HKG, then got internal flights on Air Asia. :|

Someone may have an update since those threads were discussed, but don't expect good news.

Thanks for the welcome.
I am trying to book a revenue ticket rather than using miles. Do the same problems arise.

Sorry - I assumed you were trying to book with points.

I have never tried to book partner airlines through the VS call centre, so can't help.

What are the advantages of booking through VS, rather than direct with SQ?

I assume you could still get VS points / TP's if you booked with SQ, or is this not the case?

I am going to be flying LHR-PVG or LHR-HKG on the outward leg (still to be confirmed which one) and ideally would like to fly direct back from SIN.

Booking with SQ only gives me the option of the outbound leg via SIN. Obviously this is quite a detour.

I tried to do a revenue booking through VS on the LHR-SIN leg to try and suss out the fare. I had been able to do it before but like the OP I was getting no availability. I think it could be part of the problems that people are experiencing on the website at the moment

I think there must be a glitch. I recently had no problems booking with VS to fly LHR-HKG-SYD out and SQ SYD-SIN-LHR back - with luck you get to try out the A380!
