Well it's that time of the year again when Uncle Scrooge dusts off the magic 8 ball and looks into the future.

First on the list.

Philadelphia, sounds strange I know, but I am pretty certain on this one.

Houston, yes we seem to be a little US centered, but that is about to change.

Bangkok, yes at long last we get the flight everyone has been asking for, but with a little added extra.....Melbourne, the second city for VS in Australia.

Why would it be strange, other than Kansas City and St Louis there really isn't much there, I would love to see VS fly into STL, but I don't see it in the next couple of years.

VX add-ons are nice, but we have to remember, two separate companies and FC members still don't get squat.

More seriously, PHL is not such a bad one. Currently BA have two flights a day (767 and a 777 in four class config) and secretly from V-Flyer I did this a few weeks ago, very full) BUT it is a business destination and VS would need some contracts ...

Houston, would be up against CO which might bother them, plus BA and AA so I am more doubtful about that.

Bangkok with lots of VH input no doubt - maybe ...

MEL would love to see.

Mr Scrooge, is this in advance of new planes coming in or before?

Now Houston would be nice......

Let's hope your predictions are right Scrooge :D

On the subject of predictions, as it is a triple rollover on the UK National Lottery this evening, care to predict ): ): ;)

A PM will suffice, don't want too many people sharing the prize :w

IAH would be good but would surely need some sort of corporate contract for the route to be fully successful, certainly CO will be a tough nut to crack, although given the links between the carriers it may work quite well. Certainly if VS could work it well, they may get a fair bit of ABZ-IAH traffic.

My only concern with IAH would be the lack of long haul connecting through LHR, EK and SQ seem to have managed to get the middle eastern-IAH and Russia-IAH markets sworn up and don't Airk cover the LOS-IAH route?

BKK would make a lot of sense, I am guessing this route would need some sort of green light from SQ. I just wonder if HKT might be slightly better if aiming for VH passengers? I guess the BKK/HKT decision comes down to how many VH passengers two centre or how many holiday in HKT only.

Given the expansion of VA into Thailand lately, there could be some very good link ups, even if MEL isnt launched, there certainly room for a VS codeshare on the VA BKK-MEL services.

Certainly I think we could see some more co-operation between VS and VA in future, I notice that VA are already selling flights to LHR using the VS24 through LAX.
