Hi,

This might not be news, but I was chatting to crew on a recent NY flight in Upper and they were indicating some returning service improvements.... pretzels back in premium and the cake stand back in upper. New upper seat has much softer mattress and the whole unit is much more 'user friendly', whatever that means. They sounded pretty positive about things and the only reason the A330s dont have upper is they havent got approval for it yet - again, not sure exactly what that means.

Hope thats helpful!

Welcome to the madhouse!

Your comments are pretty much in line with others here and all service improvements are to be welcomed. Let's see what we get.

On the approval for the new UCS, others who know better will correct me but I think all aircraft interiors have to be approved for safety / egress in emergency etc. by the CAA. If the aircraft are coming early 2011 then they'll be being build soon and test flown then require a long time for interiors to be fitted. Hence 'no time' perhaps!
