Will post a trip report soon but in Dubai VS no longer use the Gulf Air lounge. Website still says Gulf Air but it is in fact the Dubai Business Class Lounge. Much better than Gulf Air.
I have a feeling it used to be one of Emirates 'old' lounges but not sure. Anyway, it's much better.
