Howdy everyone,

I'm trying to book a flight to Sydney from LHR with a stopover both ways in HKG for a few days.

So one way of doing this is to book a return from LHR / HKG / LHR and then a return from HKG / SYD / HKG. Quite expensive.

However, I've stuck the four individual legs, i.e. LHR / HKG, HKG / SYD, SYD / HKG, HKG / LHR into Kayak.com and for the dates I want to travel it's come up with a much much lower quote than booking those two returns would be (around £1100).

Unfortunately on Kayak it doesn't let me go straight from the quote to Virgin, I have to go to Virgin and input it. Which is where the problem is, as the only option I can see to do this only allows two flights, cf.

Any ideas on how to book it?

Thanks!

You should be able to use the 'exact date/stopover' option - it asks you how many days you want to stopover in Hong Kong.

Go through the booking process on VS.com and it will ask you if you want a stop over after entering your departure to Sydney date and return from Sydney date ... doesn't it work for you ?|

Hello B and welsome to v-flyer !

In the booking engine your trip will be LHR-SYD with your dates. BUT you must also choose the 'exact dates' option too (just under where you enter the destination and dates

After clicking the 'find flights' button the next page will come up with the 'fancy stopping over' screen and you then do your stop overs there
