My friend has decided to join me in Tampa and has found a VS UC flight on the same dates as mine but significantly cheaper than booking VS direct (300GBP). Are there any disadvantages for him booking this way? Reading on CO's site it seems he'd still qualify for Flying Club points and Clubhouse access.

Ive only done codeshare when flying on business so don't really know the full story.

Thanks in advance!

ISTBC but I think the only difference when booking through CO is that if you want your FC miles and tier points you get the partner rate, not the VS rate?

Other than that, the service is identical for the fare code booked.

Thanks slinky. This will be his first flight, first time outside of the UK and probably the last for a while so the points won't be that much of an issue - he'd rather have 300GBP to spend I think!
