i am about to start doing a fair bit of travelling , mainly between MCO and LGW with the odd LHR and JFK. as I will be using miles and flying PE getting to use the VS lounges is unlikely.

SO my question is- is priority pass worthwhile buying and what are the lounges like

Gatwick - the servisairs = or the Sofitel on arrival has showers which would be handy

Orlando- the united red carpet

JFK Swiss lounge

any thoughts/advice appreciated

If you are a regular traveller, then IMHO Priority Pass is certainly worth it.

The lounges may not be Clubhouses, but generally they are much better than waiting in the departure hall.

I noticed last week that the lounge that VS use at DXB is Priority Pass - it was excellent - a really good selection of food and drink, plus showers and even a couple of bedrooms!! :w :|

UA have confirmed that effective Oct 1, 2010 all guests (including PP members) will receive complimentary wi-fi access and house wine, beer and spirits at all their participating Red Carpet Clubs. y)

If you're travelling a lot, the American Express Platinum Charge Card could be useful. £300 a year, but the insurance is great, and you get a Priority Pass worth £259.

There are lots of other benefits too. May be worth a look-see.

It's got nothing to do with the offer of 42k MR points if you are referred either, but if you do want a referral, let me know! lol.

Just posted on another thread about LGW lounges.

After the CH, we find the No1 best.
A while since we used the Red Carpet at MCO - as I remember it can be busy.
Sofitel arrival seems a nice addition.

We get the P Pass free with I24 CC (like the Amex but you also get cashback on all) but have found PP very useful.

We used this new lounge back in june and it was excellent and a far cry from the gulf air lounge, I also noticed that it was too a PP lounge which makes paying for upper for the DXB return almost foolish if having to pay for it, if you know what i mean what with it being a morning flight and no revivals and PP access.

cheers
