Hiya,

I've booked a pre-xmas trip to LAS in PE. Yesterday I checked my booking and noticed the upgrade to UC was available at 755pp. I thought I'd think about it and do it when I got home.

At home last night I went to book it but found it had jumped to 1500+ pp. I checked on Expertflyer and it said J5 D5 R3 Z2. If I make a dummy booking for 1 person on VS i get the Z fare, but for 2 I get the R fares. I can even see the amounts change when I switch between VS and EF. If I book 1 person in Z on VS, EF goes down to Z1. If I then leave that PC, make another attempt, I get pushed to R fares.

Is this a symptom of a seat being blocked/held? Any ideas?

(VS043 9th December if anyone can help)

yes and also maybe down to the 20 mins 'grace' period you get during the booking process. The fact you did a dumy booking will change the seat availabiliy temporarily and if someone else was looking at the same flight ...

The price jump is probably down to the fact there are only 5 tickets available in UC
