Good Afternoon, trying to book a flight to Chicago next March - it is showing no flights yet on the website today I am confronted with the - not just a musical banner - for Chicago? Anyone have any idea on the flight schedules for this destination? Thanks
I don't have the exact dates but its mid May to Mid Sept
Huzzah for International Jet-setting !
The VS039 service to Chicago starts on 9th May 2011.
Interestingly, according to airlineroute.net, from 1st July 2010, the flight will be on an A330 with Upper Class.
If this info is correct, it will be the first A330 service ex-LHR.

Very odd Nick, I saw some internal correspondence that said no A333 with UCS would be delivered before 2012 due to complications in design and certification, yet this note says 'with UCS'. So, do I presume the current UCS will be fitted? That must be dead easy since the A333 shares the same dimensions as the A346,, but then again, rumour had it that the UCS on the A333 was to heavy ... all too confusing

There's a plane at JFK, to fly you back from far away

I agree, Slinky. I remember the previous discussions, which I why I am a little dubious about it.
I have looked at booking a trip to ORD in July, if it is true, but the prices are WAY too high for my blood - £650+ for Y and £1160+ for PE. :0

I think its best to remain cautious with this news. Whilst the flight and fare codes must be loaded in the system it would not be the first time that either they have been loaded in incorrectly or the bloggers on sites such as the one Nick highlighted have gotten it wrong!
I posted a similar topic back on 27 July. Then I heard it wasn't an A330 so who knows!
