Had an interesting card from Virgin through the door a few days ago. A small purple envelope with gold lettering on the front saying "Thank you for your exceptional loyalty". Inside it went on to say that I had reached 60 tier points and as a result, have supplied me with two passes for either of the two UK clubhouses for friends/family that can be used without the gold card holder needing to be there.

It went on to say that 'more rewards' will open up as I gain more TP's. Looks like Virgin are finally recognising golds who exceed the required TPs.

Wonder what they'll offer at 100TPs....

This has been happening for more than a year - I posted something a long while back, surprised more have not.

Penny - were all your TPs on Virgin Atlantic?

A little bird told me that they have a level above Gold for UK customers who regularly go way above and beyond Gold requirements, but not for US based customers. Odd.
At least thats what I understood was being hinted to me.

Next question - were most on full fare codes (Y, W, J)? If so, keep it up and you may get something offered by VS ...

sadly no, the cheaper fares, as my flights are all purely for leisure and not business
