Hi all,

Does anyone have experience of booking rewards on a single flight using both VS and BMI miles? Between Steve and I we have enough miles in our VS & BMI pots for 4 UC returns. We're looking at the possibility of treating parents (we'd need four UC tickets) and wondered the best way of going about this?

Clearly there would need to be four G's available on our chosen flight, but for the BMI rewards I need to book though BMI....so would a prudent option be to talk to VS and determine a flight with 4 G's then ask them to hold 2 and then call BMI to sort the other 2....then finalise the other 2 on hold with VS?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,
James

The fist problem is that you may struggle getting 4 x G's on the same VS flight. I believe there's usually only a maximum of 2 on most flights now.

As you already mentioned, I'd speak to VS first and determine any flights with more than 4 x G's available.

I don't know what the situation is now but a few years ago, there where often more than 2 x G's available on the China/Japan flights (excluding HKG)

I'd just done a quick test, and it looks like I could book 4 x G's on the PVG + NRT route in mid-Oct using the VS website.
New York (EWR) also looks viable too around the same time.
