Confirmed upgrade cost from P/E to Upper

Thought I would post this as a separate thread rather than add on to the many recent threads about upgrade costs.

We were in sale P/E fares (K) and asked for a price to upgrade to Upper on the MAN - MCO route today.

Only one seat left and was yours for £841 to upgrade.

Last week flying HKG->LHR my colleague upgraded at the airport, PE->UC from non-upgradeable K fare was around £350 + 20K miles.

I had done rather better on the outbound ECON->UC from a non-upgradable N fare had been £150 (make upgradable) + £100 UC taxes + 30K miles.

The lesson for me, is if you book in PE, stay there. Unless perhaps we should have downgraded to economy first, then moved to UC.
