Due to illness our flight on 5 Feb has been delayed until 15 Feb, so we have 2 invites for that day. We are travelling on the VS 65 to MBJ, departs around 1210. If you are travelling that day you are most welcome to join us in the LGW Clubhouse.

I keep seeing these kind offers here, so how does it work in practice? Do you arrange to meet the invitees at a certain time, outside the clubhouse? I assume that once inside, there's no need to be joined at the hip?

Oops, that came out as being very anti-social, but you know what I mean!

The invitee gives the concierge the name of the guest upon their arrival to the CH, and then the guest can enter. Though I think I read here recently that the guest could only be in the lounge when the invitee was. How this would be enforced at LHR clubhouse I'm not too sure.

On a recent trip back out of JFK I'd checked in and has just walked past the baggage screening area when I noticed another passenger struggling with hand luggage had spilled everywhere, and generally looking harassed. I noticed they were holding a red Virgin boarding pass so decided to ask them into the lounge.
Once we were both in, we had a drink together then I moved away to do some work, but I'd felt I'd done a good deed for the day!

Once upon a time people used to look on the Itinerary calendar to see who was flying and then might invite non-UC passengers to join them. The last time I invited someone, who has it happened was going to be on my flight, I did it by this method.

Of course, it does depend on people entering details in the Itineraries Forum for that to work :D

Well said HL y)

Random posts title including "clubhouse invites", will more likely be picked up on search engines and people linking through from these money-saving type websites..
Had it already pre a return from HKG, came on as a one-off guest expecting invites..admitting had been advised via "save you some cash.com" or words to that effect v(
We have tended to do the Rich1664 approach or like you say, via the very effective Itinerary calendar
