A couple of years ago on 747 to JFK I noticed that my seat in PE had only half a window compared to the usual 2.

Have noticed similar comments seat guru and skytrax.

I can't remember the seat numbers but wonder if anyone else has noticed this window restriction on the 747.
As I'm booked on VS001 and VS046 to EWR this summer with the family in 31/32 A- C I'm keen to move if these seats have restricted window views.

I could be wrong, but I can't remember any discussions on here about problems with 747 windows in PE. I know there are issues on some a/c, but I thought they were with row 19 on the 343s ?|

I don't think the view is great from the exit row seats on the 747s, but the extra space more than makes up for that.

Ditto.

Also, to the OP, the PE cabin on the 747 has moved to all downstairs now, if you haven't flown for a couple of years, it could be very different to your last flight.

You're right Nick - also applies to row 19 on the 346.

If I get the numbers right, 28AC and 29AK on the 747 LHR config are the front two pairs and are great seats but the window views are limited.

Thanks for the comments

Seatexpert.com seems to suggest rows 31-33 and row 37 have restricted window views in the PE cabin.

I'm flying out UC to LAX in March so might pop back and check out the seating.

I flew to Jo'berg (& back) PE in 31A just before xmas :)

No problem with the windows - (you have 2)..have attached a couple of snaps from the seat.. pic 1 along the wing is out of the rearmost window (level with my left shoulder)

Image

& pic 2 is out of the front of the 2.

If you look at our 747's reflection in pic2 I reckon the windows are about under the first "a" in atlantic so no problems with missing windows for row 32 either.

Enjoy the flights & views y)

Even better thanks :D

This clearly shows what I remember from my 2008 flight to JFK. I was looking at the wall where you would expect a window to be and had to lean forward to get a good view.

Looks like we'll get a good view from 31/32 A!

744 have fewer windows than other rows.

Love it. A window seat without a window- what are you meant to call that?

There isn't mood lighting in PE on the A340 sadly.

The 340 seems to have the same issue but only row 19.

This photo another example:

May help any of you if you're booked in PE cabin on a 340

I've sat in row 19 on the 346 before and didn't find it to be a problem, still had a reasonable view through the 1 accessible window.
