Hello everyone.

It's been a while sinced i used this forum but you guys and gals are the experts so i thought id ask you my question.

Basically, im travelling to New York alone in Jan 2012, flying from LHR to JFK, i currently have about 11,000 miles in my flying club account but hope to have a few more before i go through shopping etc.

My question is how much roughly would i need to try and get an upgrade to Premium Economy for 1 leg of my journey? I figure i might as well use these while im travelling alone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

More experienced people will no doubt chime in shortly - but it's 10,000 miles o/w: however your ticket will need to be a Y, B or L (if I remember correctly) fare code for it to be permitted.

If it isn't, you can try ringing up Virgin to upgrade your fare code, but stupidly enough it might be cheaper just to upgrade direct to PE.

Cheers

Log into Flying club and see here- 10k each way

You need to be on a qualifying fare to be able to upgrade such as an L fare in economy, also need to factor in the additional taxes and actual "reward seat -U class" availibility in PE, dummy book spend miles seat on the dates you want to see if available..Do just one-way if thats the upgrade you want to do..

Obviously availability can change and does...
