'best' is so subjective and one person's 'best' is someone elses 'worst'

Do you want to be near the front / back of the cabin?

Near / away from the toilets?

Aisle, window or middle?

Bulkhead infront / behind?

There are advantages and disadvantages with all seats.

there are four of us travelling and we are looking at going 2 in front and 2 behind in the window and aisle the reason we go 2-2 rather than a four in the middle is because we feel that there is less room in the middle. We are looking possibly two of us being in an exit row. We will be on a 744 and i am still trying to find out whether exit rows cost and if so how much? if any of you could help those are the two questions i currently have

I think exit row seats are £50 each per sector. But the leg room of the person next to the door is restricted due to a bulge in the door

ISTBC but I think you can now phone and book the exit rows in advance rather than at the airport.

According to the VS website you can only book in advance if you have booked directly with VS. It only mentions this on the Economy page and not the PE page but it would do no harm to ask.

ISTBC but I though there was no charge for exit rows in PE

I have never managed to get them at OLCI, and sometimes the check in agent can't allocate them until a certain time before take off.

You can register your interest in them when you check in and my last two flights, I have changed seats in the Clubhouse, but I am sure if you can't get them at check in, they can be allocated at the gate.

PE exit rows cannot be obtained before check in at the airport. there is no charge for them. the only exits that can be bought in advance are Econ.

no exit rows can be booked via OLCI
