Hi

I am leaving for Shanghai in a couple of weeks. Having collected miles for ages and finally found an occasion where I could redeem them, I am flying Upper. It should be exciting.

I have a couple of questions though and wondered if people here could help

1) The flight leaves early afternoon. Any advice on how early to arrive at LHR Clubhouse to have a relatively good chance of treatments/haircut [in the past I have booked, when you could, or simply not arrived early enough]

2) My companion is vegetarian. I have requested a veggie meal. Is this something completely different to the main Upper menu or do they simply get the veggie choice from said menu

Would love any advice on making this trip one to remember.

Thanks

Hi George

Hope your flight goes well

Arriving at theClubhouse is something you should certainly savour - depending on your journey to Heathrow, I would aim for around 3.5 - 4 hours. This should give the Spa folks plenty of time to fit in an Appointment ;)

For the Veggie meal, in UC the menu covers it - your request just ensures that the veggie meal is provided

Hi George,

I'll be making my first visit to the LHR clubhouse in May, and having made some enquiries amongst my felling V-flyers, the general consensus is as Buns suggests, bout 3 -4 hours would be plenty of time to sample the facilities.

hope you have a fab trip

Regards

Not necessarily so Buns, unfortunately :(! . I now always pick of the menu as when I had pre-ordered I normally got a veg curry :$ and as I cant eat rice it was always sent back and I had to hope there was a a la carte veggie left y)

yes 3-4 hours is about right.

Remember to go straight to the CH then the spa desk (to the right and across from the main entrance) once you have cleared the private security channel. Do not stop in duty free and once in the CH do not find some where to sit, order a drink and food before going to the spa. Head straight there.

You can always nip out to DF during your stay in the CH - it wont be a problem to leave and come back
