I could see them having extra police and security checks in terminals etc but not for suspending OLCI.
There is nothing on the VS or BA websites about a suspension.
I have tried to do OLCI for tomorrow - I went through the process, to be told at the end that it wasn't successful and to check in at the airport tomorrow. n(
Don't know if it is just us, or if the system is in fact suspended.

It took me 3 attempts to do OLCI last night . First time it wouldn't let me but would the rest of our party. Then i tried without me and I had the same experience you mentioned.
I then logged in to my booking - used the OLCI link on there and it eventually let us all check in.
I would try again as the system does seem to be playing up a bit.
I can't check in Miss Sunshine for her flight from MCO on the VS 16, May 4th either.
I have tried 3 times so far....
She is travelling Y so if we can't do OLCI it means of course she can't use the bag drop line either so we will have to drop her off earlier than usual n(

Given that the OP asked if airlines had suspended OLCI because of events over the weekend, I'm here in Paris and my friends from the US were able to do OLCI on USAirways, no problem.
It's probably the VS website being its usual flakey self
