I got onto VS "Manage your Flights" earlier to see whether VH, as promised by customer services, had indeed saved us a couple of seats in the bubble for tomorrow's flight. I hadn't been able to "reserve" any seats since booking in November. 
They had indeed but not 74A/C as indicated by VH. We have been allocated 75H/K in the bubble. These are of course exit row seats - nothing wrong with those - but I thought such were only allocated at physical check-in.:0 Not so.
At OLCI later there were no other options as the seat map was not available so I now have the boarding passes for those seats. y)
Regarding the "OLCI chase those numbers" game, modesty forbids me for mentioning how I got on, you will have to wait for the TR y)
However, the ringtone on my phone is now Air and the highly appropriate SEQSy boy!!!! oo) oo) oo)
