747 refits, what configuration?

Had seats pre-assigned in PE in the bubble in August on VS074, but due I am informed, to aircraft re-fits, the seats have now disappeared and seat re-booking will not be available until mid June apparently, when they will know which aircraft are to be used.

Well and truly gutted I am, was really looking forward to sitting up there again and couldn't believe I had managed to bag three seats online.

My question is, how are the aircraft being re-fit, for example will the bubble still be PE or are they changing it to UC only or perhaps a mix of UC and EC (controversial)

As we already have a long thread about the seat map issues and LGW refits here, I will lock this thread and ask that all comments and discussions are kept in the existing one.

Hi there, unfortunately there's no info yet on what the new config will be, but the refits aren't starting until April '12 until end of summer '12 so shouldn't affect your flight this august. It could be that the 330 might be doing this flight, but don't know why you've been told the refits will affect your flight as they not happening until next year?
