Extra 25% for transferring Amex points to VS

Got an email telling me there was another 25% bonus for transferring miles from Amex to VS till June 30th. seems a decent offer. not as good as BA's 40% or Delta's 50% but much better than usual.

Works for me on the US Amex - however it's not advertised on the US site that I can see, and when I did the transfer it wasn't mentioned either. However, when I checked my FC account thebonus was there!

Sorry for a novice question - is there somewhere on the amex/MR websites I can see if I'm eligible for this offer? I can't see any sign of it online.

The email was sent from Virgin (not from Amex) and it says

"Right now, converting American Express Membership Reward® points into Flying Club miles is even more rewarding. Because up until June 30, 2011 you’ll earn 25% extra miles on almost every point you convert. "

So this leads me to believe the deal is from Flying Club not Membership Rewards, and that is why it is not advertised on the MR pages.

25% is attractive but I'd rather wait until we get more information on just what is happening to VS and the FC. Hopefully we will hear by the end of the Summer and while this offer will have ended there will be more - if VS/FC remain the same.

At least in Amex. MR you have options.

Just done a test transfer of 1000MR points, only had 1000 VS miles credited so looks like it may only be for US customers?

Saw the T&C for this offer on FT. Only for the US, and doesn't start till 1st June. n(
