Cuba weather?

Have booked for mid august and have conflicting info in weather from very nice to hurricane season.
So am hoping for some real examples of the people who have been there.

Firstly it will be very hot, humidity at 80+% !!

August is usually very hot days, afternoon storm(usually over in half hour) then back to sun.

It is hurricane season and that is something to bear in mind.
