Hi I am looking for advice from any Manchester flyers

We are booked to go to Orlando from Manchester (T2) on the 11th December, and normally book the servisair lounge in T2.
I was going to ask people’s opinions on whether the escape lounge is better than the servisair ( I am going to miss Heathrow clubhouse this year)

After doing some research tonight, I have tried to do a dummy booking for the escape lounge but it says it is not available for the date and time I want, I have tried lots of other dates around 7am (the time I want) and there is no dates available until next year.

Do you think they are fully booked or is there another explanation?

Any thoughts or advice is much appreciated
Sharon

Both lounges are pretty much identical, there really isn't anything better in the Escape lounge over the Styal lounge so you aren't missing out on anything.

The escape lounge is actually two medium size lounges and you used to be able to go in either but when we were there in April, they have made one room for 'first class' pax only (the lounge dragons words). I wonder if that has reduced capacity and limited the number of entries they now sell.

Do you think UC would count as "first class" in this situation?
We much prefer the room to the left (not the one with the receptionist in it). It will be disappointing if we are barred from going into it... :(

I prefer the one to the left too - it's the one with the PCs and it seems a little more roomy to me - though would disagree with Neil I much prefer the Escape lounge over the Servisair lounge.

I honestly don't know, but would assume so, we were on flying PE so used our Priority Pass cards to gain access.

I tried booking the Escape Lounge via the Manchester airport website for my flight on 2 Sept at the weekend and it also gave me the lounge being not available.

I went and booked the lounge from another travel agent online with no issues on the day and time I want.

I was in the Escape lounge in April. We were flying 'business first' with Continental and directed into the lounge on the right. The only passengers in there were Continental passengers with the CO concierge in attendance.

I'll be back in with Virgin at the end of the month (after the 21st though). But will report back if it's not been done so by then.

Personally I didn't think much of the Escape lounge when I used it.

I think I'd rather have a caramel machiatto at Starbucks.

I'm flying in UC today and was directed to the right side descibed by the reception bloke as 'the business lounge'. I am guessing that those with kids are being sent through to the lounge on the left. I'm not bothered which side I am in peronally, they are both just 'ok' anyway.

I did ask about accessing the V-room instead of the escape lounge but it was a bit fat No!! - the check in agent stated no plans for it to be used for UC and AU guests.

Though really like the Escape lounge in T2 - its quiet now and friendly, personalised service and a great bakery selection today!
