Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew what happened to VS2 on 18th July, as it was 90 mins from pushback until take off (which is slightly unusual for EWR[Not JFK]) and more importantly it diverted to MAN?

Does anyone have any info on what happened?

hi

its most likely a medi emergency as the pax usualy say they are unwell then ok to travel then once airborne take ill an they make a final descion to divert, its sometimes glasgow as thats the final one before the pond.

but im sure for def.

Erm, the VS2 is coming from the US so will have crossed the pond before diverting to MAN - although the VS website gives no indication of this. I'd be more likely to think it was a tech problem.

Must have been very serious (whatever the cause - medical or mechanical) to have landed in MAN and not go direct to LHR and it was only on the ground at MAN for an hour

They certainly had their fair share of diverts on Monday... VS200 landed in Helsinki for an hour or so en route to HKG - I imagine that would have been medical related.

The VS2 to MAN is a strange one though.

Strange that neither of these have been reported on Aviation Herald.
