Hi,

Can anyone confirm the baggage allowance in UC?
When we flew UC in February it stated 3 x 23Kgs, this time it saying 3 x 32kgs. Can anybody clarify it for me? ?|

Many thanks,

Karen

p.s. Not only did I not get SQ1 + 2 for tomorrow, other half phoned to see how I got on and I had to admit that I had forgotten!Got "SQ85 and then it would not let me check myself in on the same booking had to start again and got SQ88. :|

My UC in September lists 3 x 32. It strikes me as quite a marvel if me and my gf will fill half of one allowance never mind the full 192Kgs we have between us...

It was for a short period reduced to 3*23 but there was such an outcry that they reinstated it to 32kg but that was weil over a year ago (probbaly longer) when that happned. It was the same tiome as they rediced Y to 1 bag and PE to 2*23 rather than 2*32

Amateurs !

You are obviously just not trying hard enough ! v( v(

If you need tips on using the full (indeed exceeding) UC Baggage allowance the the lovely Jackie and Dragon Lady will be happy to assist !

And don't forget, if you are FC Au you get ONE extra bag too!

And it's not just the likes of the Dear LD that can fill em up, the #1 and I returned from LA last October with seven bags, all weighing 30KGish (well, one was a case of rather nice Napa cabernet!

^)WooHoo, Thanks, that just made my day!

John will not be happy, but 6 x 32kgs it is then!

Our son Alfie is joining us next week (10th) VS027 LGW-MCO and joing us on the VS06 from MIA-LHR for the return, so if you see a 6'2", 18 year old, looking very lost, please point him in the right direction (Never flown alone before) His dad felt sorry for him after his disasterous holiday in Ayia Napa last month and told me to book him a last minute flight. He's flying PE. We have to upgrade the car for the return journey to MIA, as we have a Dodge Charger booked at the moment, don't think that will be big enough for 8 large cases and 3 adults :(

I shall probably be drummed of VF for this but in spite of flying UC and being FC Gold I don't go over a 20kg allowance. My excuse is that is the allowance for my connecting flight to VS but in fact I tend to max out at about 12kg!

Oh the shame! :|

12 Kg :0 :0 :0 . Shameful indeed HL :D .
I have never actually EXCEEDED my allowance tonty, but have come perilously close when doing exactly the same as slinks (well wine isn't real baggage is it, so it doesn't really count.... :w ) .
And FWIW I think Jacki is much worse than me :P

I have to say that if Sunshine & I are flying together we do have the max number of cases but rarely are they over 23k each because we can't pick them up. Pathetic little sausages that we are.

Have to cough to the fact that we rarely manage 17.5 kilos each - and that's with filling out the bags with unwanted clothes..... :?

Well I am very disappointed in myself, 4 bags, all under 25kgs!
One bag is son, Alfie, coming out next week, 1 mine, 1 John's and the fourth a bag with 3 extra bags in for the return.

Clubhouse was very quiet until just now when it's starting to fill up. Drop off to clubhouse was seven minutes.

Oh, even my humble 12kg case has an extra bag for the return.

Of course you must remember that my carry-on is quite hefty and that I am a delicate little old lady who has to try and heft all these bags either on to a scale or else into an overhead locker. The world's strongest man I am not :D
