Not sure if anyone has spotted that three flights have operated to MCO today from Manchester - two operated by A330s and one by a 744.

Now this is not due to a peak demand but G-VKSS had an issue yesterday at MAN so the flight was cancelled until today - anyone know what happened?

Thanks

THe VS Flight status page only says

Due to unforeseen circumstances we regret this flights departure has been delayed overnight. This flight will now depart as VS175 on Friday 5th August. Virgin Atlantic apologises for the inconvenience this delay has caused.

I can imagine a lot of upset kiddies at MAN !

I do hope the PAX are being reasonable and not demanding compensation from Virgin Atlantic for a "missed days vacation" or "park tickets" :? I am sure they would have been put up over night and their travel insurance should take care of the rest. I do feel for the staff (checkin to cabin crew)on the MCO flights when this happens oo)

Yep it was a rather busy day the other day for us with three flights, the 75 at 11:00 the 175 at 12:00 from the day before and our 73 at 13:45. Thank god this doesnt happen too often. :)

G-vkss went straight back to lgw though so they must have got everyone on other flights. I was in Mco 5th on vs76 and there were three gatwick flights.

Indeed, one of the three flights to LGW on 5th August was the delayed VS28 from 4th August which was cancelled on 4th August because the VS75 had been cancelled outbound. This operated as VS128 at 1800 on 5th August with the scheduled VS28 at 1755 and VS16 at 1930

Thursday is the traditional A330 aircraft swap day at MCO - so the aircraft that has been at MAN for the last week goes onto the VS28 (having flown in as VS75) and likewise the aircraft that has been at LGW for the past week and arrives at VS27 forms the VS76 back to MAN.
