Hi there,

There are 8 of us booked on VS15 tomorrow (15/08), and OLCI opened up at T-24 as expected.

The seat map was available right up until this time, however now OLCI is open, the seat map has become unavailable.

After clicking the button to check in, and filling out all the information as required, I was presented with a message saying we were unable to check-in online and should proceed to check in at the airport.

Will this mean we will lose our seat requests? Why would we not be able to check in online? It's got me a tad worried now.. ?|

Thanks for any advice or suggestions :)

Could be several reasons including a glitch in the system (so give it a try in an hour or so) right through to someone in your party having a name similar to someone on the US watch list (not saying you are a terrorist but this happens frequently).

If trying again dosen't work and you are that concerned give VS a ring and they should be able to give you an explanation.

As you are flying from LGW your existing seat requests should (never a guraentee though) be OK - it is only at LHR that you need to have completed OLCI at T-13 to retain requests.

Good advice to wait - I just tried now and managed to get everyone checked in successfully - although one of the eight boarding passes wasn't available for printing (not a major issue as far as I can see :) )

Not sure how others managed it, but by the time we got to it, we got SEQ 101 and higher :0

Now looking forward to an uneventful flight and a nice relaxing trip :D
