It looks like profits have gone to Virgin's head and they are now offering Z's the day before departure. (Or more likely a system issue)

I have just looked at a couple routes in Upper, and can get the sale fares for departure tomorrow. E.g. LHR to NYC, departing tomorrow for £1,519.73. Can get all the way to payment.

There just seems to be no advance purchase rules anymore, well on routes I looked up at least .

I wonder how long it will take to correct this. :?

Interesting. I see they have uploaded new sales for NYC at £1520 between 17-31st August, yet in the T&C's it says 28 days advance reservation required , which obviously doesn't work out.

I guess for special sale fares, advance purchase rules go out the window.

If they want to offer a sale fare in UC that doesn't include the CDC, then there is no other fare code available (even though Z is supposed to be advance purchase).

Perhaps the loads are light and they are trying to get bums on seats

I have also noticed the advance rules change.
From USA-UK I have seen an S fare offered with 21 day, 7 day and 3 day advance purchases. I think it depends on available seats and also what the competition are offering.

Yes, this has happened many times before Neil, when VS wants to offer a sale, as you say advance rules change. I was going to buy a Z to NYC next week but ended up not doing that because I didn't want the Saturday stay on the BH weekend, so it's a D and loads more lolly for me!
