VS Amex Issue

Evening,

Has anyone had any problems using their VS Amex today? I've been trying to buy some items online and it's not being accepted anywhere. All three retailers I've tried accept American Express and having spoke to MBNA it appears there is "no problem" and they are authorizing the amounts.

"Sorry, but your payment didn't work with this card. Please try again with a different card."

Used it both for weekly supermarket shop in store and also to buy some goods on the net, no issues at all.

Used mine today, no apparent problems.
