We are looking to go to Vegas 1st April -12th April 2012 can do a day or so either side. I hate the LGW-LAS flight but if it is cheap enough I will suffer and moan alot!!!. ECONOMY FARES
My offer alternative is to fly on the nice LHR planes to LAX and then get a connecting flight. if cheap I will do this.

The prices at the moment are LGW-LAS 3rd-11th £613 LGW-LAS with miles + money 3rd-11th £583 or £609 1st to 12th.
My last 3 flights to Vegas at Easter, the prices were $470 2007, £320 2008 and then £510 2009.

Would the Combi fare be an option for me, I have 26000 miles. I am desperate to go to Vegas and would like to fly with Virgin. BA are offering Flights to LAX for £500 but £700 to LAS

As you can tell money is an option this year for me and my partner!! we want a last holiday before marriage kids etc.

"cheap" fares to Las Vegas - not a chance. Those days are well and truly over.

Firstly do you have to go in the school holidays? always loaded fares at that peak time due to demand.

Personally I would hate the LGW-LAS flight in economy as it can (and often does) become quite noisey with excited groups.
Also the planes are the old tatty 747's still. Upstairs in PE is a whole different story though.

You state current fare is VS @ £613 and BA £500. If you're looking at flying direct, then its obviously cheaper to do BA but are you sure that is direct? I wouldn't waste miles doing M+M fares as you save very very little money and then don't get any miles on the fare you've paid for.

Best route, IMO, is LHR into LAX, then get an internel flight to LAS. Alternatively look at the US carriers going LHR to LAS via a hub - this will be "cheaper" than flying direct.

As for combi fares. You'd have to ring the FC but I would not have thought you have enough miles for those fares.

Hope this helps.

You might find a cheaper flight to LAS booking through KLM you will end up flying on a delta flight but this may be an option via new York or Atlanta.
