... where, unsurprisingly, it is very quiet. (All New York flights have been cancelled.) This is my first visit here -- wow, it is a pretty impressive lounge!
The last 24 hours have been busy. I was due to fly to JFK on VS45 today, but had a hunch yesterday that the New York authorities would shut the transit systems down. I checked in for the 45 (SEQ 6...) but as the afternoon ticked on I started to get less confident it would depart.
So I called UC reservations (the fare restrictions had just been lifted) where a very helpful chap managed to change me onto VS19 to SFO (I was ultimately headed there anyway). He was a credit to the airline -- he couldn't have been more helpful and sympathetic. So after that, cue much rearranging of internal travel, hotels, and meetings...
late night.
The downside is that VS19 is delayed by 2.5 hours and I am SEQ 259 after an airport check-in! And no seat in the nose
The upside is that I arrived in the Clubhouse at around 9.30 am (I always arrive at airports far too early) and so have an opportunity to get some work done -- the library is very quiet and I am impressed by the facilities -- and enjoy it all to the full! Already had my facial...
