Hi have booked through vh to fly VS to MCO. One person in the party has a hyphen in their surname,on my booking on the VS site his name is showing up as all one word no dash/hyphen,will this cause a problem at checkin ?|

Hello and welcome

No it should not cause any problems.

If any of your party has a middle name you will notice that these are often merged as well.

My surname has an apostrophe in it and a couple of years ago I contacted VS with concern about the lack of the apostrophe on my eticket and this is the reply I received:
The ticketing system used to produce the tickets will not accept spaces or punctuation when we make a reservation. This is the reason why your given names were not separated when printed on your ticket. This is common across all tickets issued in this way. |:)

One of my family has a hyphen in their surname which ticketing is not able to recognise.

Therefore her surname is just the 2 words togther.
