Hi

I know you won't be able to provide any definite answers but just wondered what your thoughts/experiences are

We're due to fly to Vegas from Manchester on 1st Jan. I've joined Expert Flyer and had a look and there are only 28 economy seats booked and 3 Premium Economy. Originally I was thinking how great a quiet flight would be, however now I'm worrying that it could end up getting cancelled....what do you think?

Thanks
Helen

A lot depends not only on how busy the outbound flight is but also how busy the inbound is. There have been instances of flights going out nearly empty but returning full. This is extremely likely in your instance as people who went to spend Christmas and the New Year in Vegas are now returning home especially given that New Year's Day is on a Sunday and therefore the Monday will be a day off in lieu,

Have you looked at the loads on the return flight that day?

VS will consider numbers on both flights before considering cancelling a flight.

Good tip - hadn't thought of that!!

Have just looked now and UC is half full, PE if nearly full and Economy is prob about hlaf full so maybe I don't need to be worrying :)

Fingers crossed that all will be fine and we can have lots of room to spread out. We flew with Singapore Airlines on the new A380 (think that's right!?) and had 4 seats between us in Economy - it was brill!

If you are looking at the seat maps on Expertflyer, be aware that it is not an accurate picture of the number of passengers as not everyone will have requested seats when booking

Thanks for the info Honey lamb - this is all a whole new world for me!!

Thank you to everyone else who has replied as well, this is such a great place for advice. I've learnt so much just by reading the posts. Think I'll just relax for now and look forward to the honeymoon rather than panicing about things!!!
